Rice – 2 cups
Chickpeas ( channy) –1 cup

Tomatoes – 2 medium size ( finely chopped)

Termarind ( imli )– soaked
Traditional whole spices
Whole Garam Masala
1 tsp Cumin Seeds (Zeera)
1 Bay Leaf (Tez patta)
2-3 Cloves (long)
2-3 Black Peppercorn (Sabit Kaali Mirch)
1 Cinnamon Stick (Daarchini)
2 Green Cardamom (Choti Elaichi)
1 tsp Dry Coriander (Sookha Dhanya)
Powdered spices
Salt (according to your taste)
Red chilli Powder 1 teaspoon
Chilli Flakes 1 teaspoon
Cumin Powder 1 teaspoon
Coriander Powder 1 teaspoon

Easy Cooking Instructions
Soak Chick peas
First of all, you have to soak the chickpeas overnight in the water and add 1 tablespoon baking soda in it and then cover it for the whole night .At morning , you have to stain the water of Chickpeas and wash them.
Boiling Chickpeas
Boil the cheakpease and add one tablespoon of salt before boiling. When the chickpeas are 90% cooked, remove them from the water and keep them in a separate bowl.
Preparing the Rice
Wash the rice before you have to start the making process of rice.

First , you have to take a deep pan and add half cup oil, add onions and fry it until it turns light brown. Then add bay leaves, cumin seeds, cloves, black peppercorn, cinnamon stick, green cardamom and mix well. Adding Rice and Water

Steaming
When the water reduces, then add a pinch of food colour in your choice, if you like. And cover with a tight lid, put something heavy on it and let it steam for 10 to 15 minutes.
